When Endurance is Wanted
Trowel grade epoxy is the ultimate concrete coating for thickness and longevity! For heavy-duty equipment workshops, industrial facilities, chemical plants, and factories, trowel grade epoxies are best. They stand additional mass, corrosives, and traffic. If your concrete deals with a lot of punishment, it requires a trowel grade epoxy covering.
With heavier coatings comes extra time for curing. Optimally, trowel grade epoxy is applied at temperatures of seventy degrees Fahrenheit, F or higher. Under that, and the epoxy, with its clear coat, takes longer to cure. Optimal curing time is 8 to 12 hours for each coat. The complete curing, when normal work can begin again, is after seven days. Below 55 degrees Fahrenheit, F, trowel grade coatings are best not attempted.
Trowel grade epoxies are not for DIY fans! Experience and skills are necessary, as well as high end troweling equipment. That’s why West Coast Epoxy is here for clients in Oakley to use the right materials and teams to do the job when trowel grade coats are requested.
