If Toughness is Wanted
Where extreme traffic or great demands are normal, your concrete epoxy flooring must have a trowel grade application. This is the perfect system available for maximal toughness, creating a surface with twice the thickness of our usual residential or business epoxy process. Floors that experience massive weight, such as from heavy-duty forklifts, should be covered with trowel grade epoxy. Trowel grade is also recommended if concrete contact with corrosive or caustic chemicals is common.
With fatter epoxies comes additional time for curing. Ideally, trowel grade epoxy is laid at temperatures of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, or above; below that, and the epoxy with its clear coat, takes more time to cure. Ordinary curing time is eight to twelve hours for each coating. The final cure, when ordinary activities can begin again, is after seven days. Below 55 degrees Fahrenheit, trowel grade coatings are best not applied.
Trowel grade requires significant experience and skills to complete correctly. West Coast Epoxy has the crew and equipment essential to meet the requirements of any industrial or commercial building.
