When Endurance is a Requirement
When constant traffic or extra demands are common, the epoxy flooring requires a trowel grade application. It is the best system available for maximal endurance, creating a coating with double the thickness of our usual home or business process. Trowel grade epoxy is recommended for flooring that support great loads, such as from heavy-duty forklifts as well as for concrete that comes in contact with caustic or corrosive chemicals.
With thicker coatings comes extra time for curing. Ideally, trowel grade epoxy is applied at temperatures of 70 degrees Fahrenheit or above. Below that, and the epoxy, with its clear coat, takes more time to cure. Average curing time is 8-12 hours for each coating. The full curing, when average activities can begin again, is after seven days. Below 55 degrees Fahrenheit, trowel grade epoxies are best not attempted.
Trowel grade demands significant skill and experience to apply properly. West Coast Epoxy has the crews and tools needed to match the specifications of any commercial or industrial site.
