When Toughness is Wanted
Trowel grade epoxy is the maximal concrete coat for thickness and toughness! For heavy-duty shops, industrial buildings, chemical plants, and factories, trowel grade epoxies are optimal. They withstand greater loads, corrodents, and traffic. If your floor meets with much punishment, it must have a trowel grade epoxy coating.
With heavier coats comes extra time for curing. Optimally, trowel grade epoxy is layered at temperatures of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, or above. Below that, and the epoxy, with its clear coat, takes longer to cure. Ordinary curing time is 8-12 hours for each coating and the full cure, when ordinary work can begin again, is after seven days. Below 55 degrees Fahrenheit, trowel grade coats are best not attempted so be sure to schedule during the late spring, summer, or early fall months.
Trowel grade calls for significant skill and experience to lay down right. West Coast Epoxy has the teams and tools essential to match the needs of any commercial or industrial building.
