If Toughness is a Demand
Where heavy traffic or higher demands are common, your epoxy flooring needs trowel grade application. It is the ideal technique available for maximal durability, providing a surface with double the thickness of our typical business or residential process. Floors that experience great loads, such as from heavy-duty forklifts, should be covered with trowel grade epoxy. Trowel grade also is specified if concrete contact with caustic or corrosive chemicals is common.
With heavier coats comes added time for curing. Optimally, trowel grade epoxy is laid at temperatures of seventy degrees Fahrenheit, F or more. Under that, and the epoxy, with its clear coat, takes more time to cure. The usual curing time is 8-12 hours for each coating. The complete curing, when the usual activities can begin again, is after seven days. Below 55 degrees Fahrenheit, F, trowel grade coatings are best not attempted.
Trowel grade specifies real skill and experience to apply correctly. West Coast Epoxy has the staff and equipment required to equal the specifications of any industrial or commercial property.
