Urethane concrete is the most durable manner of flooring that West Coast Epoxy can apply. Although a trowel grade epoxy coating is quite enduring, urethane concrete (also named urethane cement) is even stronger because it uses urethane to bind together an engineered cement powder that when fully cured has the flex of epoxy combined with the strength of concrete. The thickness of urethane concrete coatings can also be stretched to limits not reachable with common epoxy coatings, and the material still retains its ability to be shaped for use with beveled and coved floors.
Applications for Urethane Concrete
Although epoxy topcoats are ideal for protecting concrete floors exposed to hot and cold things on a continual basis, the concrete beneath still faces thermal contraction and expansion from the changes in floor temperatures. By installing a thick layer of urethane concrete over the floor of those buildings, not only do you strengthen the floor, but you simultaneously improve its thermal resistance. This makes urethane concrete useful for factories, workshops, and plants.
Urethane Concrete is Customizable
Urethane coatings can be colored to enhance current flooring concepts or to differentiate work zones. Urethane coatings come in various types, and West Coast Epoxy helps our Vacaville clients decide upon the ideal formula, depending on their needs.
