When Toughness is Demanded
When extreme demands are commonplace, your epoxy flooring requires a trowel grade epoxy application. This is the ideal technique available for ultimate toughness, creating a coating with double the thickness of our usual commercial or home process. Floors that experience much mass, such as from heavy-duty forklifts, or come into contact regularly with caustic or corrosive chemicals, should ideally should be coated with trowel grade epoxy.
With heavier coatings comes extra time for curing. Optimally, trowel grade epoxy is laid at temperatures of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, or higher. Under that, and the epoxy, with its clear coat, takes longer to cure with optimal curing time being 8-12 hours for each coat. The complete curing, when normal activities can begin again, is after seven days. Please be advised that below 55 degrees Fahrenheit, trowel grade coatings are best not attempted.
Trowel grade necessitates real skill and experience to achieve the best results. West Coast Epoxy has the staff and equipment necessary to cover the needs of any industrial or commercial property.
