Urethane concrete is the most durable form of coating that West Coast Epoxy can lay down. While a trowel grade epoxy coating is quite long-lasting, urethane concrete (also named urethane cement) is even stronger. That’s because it uses urethane to bind together an engineered cement powder that when perfectly cured has the flex of epoxy combined with the strength of concrete. The width of urethane concrete coatings may also be stretched to limits not reachable with ordinary epoxy coatings, and the material retains its ability to be shaped for use with beveled and coved floors.
Applications for Urethane Cement
Although epoxy coatings are ideal for covering foundations exposed to cold and hot fluids on a continuing basis, the concrete beneath still faces thermal expansion and contraction from the changes in floor temperatures. By installing a thick layer of urethane concrete over the foundation of such workshops, not only do you strengthen the floor, but you also boost its thermal resistance. That makes urethane concrete useful for plants, factories, and workshops.
Urethane Cement is Customizable
Urethane coatings can be colored to copy flooring schemes or to differentiate work zones. They come in various types, and West Coast Epoxy helps our Santa Rosa customers decide upon the ideal formula, based on their requirements.
