Urethane concrete is the toughest manner of flooring that West Coast Epoxy can lay down. Although a trowel grade epoxy coat is very durable, urethane concrete (also named urethane cement) is even longer lasting. That is because it uses urethane to bind together an engineered cement powder that when 100 percent cured has the flexibility of epoxy combined with the strength of concrete. The width of urethane cement coatings may also be stretched to limits not possible with plain epoxy coatings, and the material keeps its ability to be shaped for use with coved and beveled floors.
Optimal Applications for Urethane Cement
Despite the fact that epoxy coatings are ideal for covering foundations exposed to cold and hot fluids on a regular basis, the concrete underneath still faces thermal expansion and contraction from the changes in floor temperature. By applying a thick layer of urethane concrete over the foundation of these warehouses, not only do you strengthen the floor, but you additionally improve its thermal resistance. That makes urethane concrete useful for factories, workshops, and plants.
