If Strength is Demanded
Trowel grade epoxy is the maximum concrete coat for thickness and endurance! For heavy-duty shops, industrial warehouses, chemical plants, and factories, trowel grade coats are perfect. They withstand more loads, corrosives, and traffic. If your concrete endures much punishment, it needs a trowel grade epoxy coating.
With heavier coatings comes added time for curing. Optimally, trowel grade epoxy is laid at temperatures of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, or above. Below that, and the epoxy, with its clear coat, takes more time to cure. Ordinary curing time is eight to twelve hours for each coating. The full curing, when the usual activities can begin again, is after seven days. Below 55 degrees Fahrenheit, a trowel grade epoxy is not recommended.
Trowel grade epoxies are not for DIYs! Experience and skill are needed, as well as high end troweling tools. That’s why West Coast Epoxy is here for you in Oakland to use the correct materials and teams to do the job when trowel grade coatings are requested.
