When Strength is Desired
Trowel grade epoxy is the ultimate concrete coating for thickness and durability! For heavy-duty equipment workshops, industrial locations, chemical plants, and factories, trowel grade epoxies are optimal. They stand more mass, caustics, and traffic. If your floor withstands a lot of punishment, it must have a trowel grade epoxy coating.
With fatter coats comes additional time for curing. Optimally, trowel grade epoxy is laid at temperatures of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, or higher; below that, and the epoxy, with its clear coat, takes longer to cure. Optimal curing time is 8-12 hours for each coating and the complete curing, when the usual work can begin again, is after seven days. Below 55 degrees Fahrenheit, trowel grade coats are best not attempted.
Trowel grade coats are not for Do-It-Yourselfers! Experience and skills are necessary, as well as professional troweling tools. That’s why West Coast Epoxy is here for clients in Fairfield to bring the right materials and staff to do the job if trowel grade coatings are desired.
