Urethane concrete is the most durable manner of flooring that West Coast Epoxy can lay down. While a trowel grade epoxy coating is very strong, urethane concrete (also called urethane cement) is even stronger. That is because it employs urethane to bind together an engineered cement powder that when totally cured has the flex of epoxy combined with the strength of concrete. The width of urethane cement coats may also be stretched to limits not seen with plain epoxy coatings, and the material retains its ability to be shaped for use with beveled and coved floors.
Applications for Urethane Concrete
Epoxy coatings do a terrific job of protecting concrete and extending its lifespan significantly. Urethane concrete is even better, however, especially for guarding floors from thermal contraction and expansion. If a foundation regularly faces temperature changes due to manufacturing or weather, this flooring acts like an extra layer protecting the underlying concrete.
Urethane Concrete is Customizable
Urethane coatings may be colored to match flooring schemes or to separate work zones. They come in various types, and West Coast Epoxy helps our Antioch customers opt for the ideal formula, depending on their requirements.
