Several companies provide different types of epoxy coating systems for concrete – but not all manufacturers are equal. With years spent on testing nearly all the products available, West Coast Epoxy knows exactly which ones to use. You get what we consider the best quality product, so you can rest assured that your floors will withstand heavy use while looking great!
Epoxy Flooring Installation
Laying an epoxy floor coating starts with determining the color of floor you’d like as well as any textures or patterns that appeal to you. You make those choices based on our large variety of samples. The depth of materials and surface texture is adjusted to your floor – whether it is residential, commercial, or industrial. We investigate the site to determine what preparation will be needed for the floor and to then schedule the procedure.
West Coast Epoxy uses a highly-rated diamond grinder to condition your floor. This cleans the concrete and prepares it to adhere properly with the epoxy, making a stronger bond. The process creates a lot of concrete dust, so we use an industrial-grade vacuum with powerful HEPA filtration to thoroughly remove any concrete particulates.
Once it is cleared and cleaned, a wicking epoxy is applied onto your floor. This resilient material seeks out all the minor pores and fissures to cover the entire floor evenly. The epoxy uses these anomalies to increase its grip on your floor, adhering with even more strength. When it dries, your epoxy coating will protect your concrete floor for the rest of its life.
But the process doesn’t stop there. After the epoxy is in place, we apply a color coat. This coating includes the color, texture and pattern choices you picked out beforehand. Lastly, we apply a clear topcoat that seals in the color, textures and patterns that you’ll enjoy from then on. The clear topcoat also protects your new floor from fading and unsightly scratches.
Of course, each floor has its own personality, and West Coast Epoxy gets along with every one of them.
